Great news for all government employees, teachers, students and everyone in West Bengal – the state government has finally released the official list of holidays for the year 2026! Yes, the WB Govt Calendar 2026 (Official notification No. 4188-F(P2) issued on 27 November 2025) is out, and now you can plan your long weekends, family trips and puja vacations well in advance. This year we have a good mix of national holidays, festivals and extra days especially around Durga Puja.

Bank Holiday (For Banks Only)

As per the notification, 1st April (Wednesday) will be observed as the Yearly Closing of Bank Accounts.
On this day:
